Refined Work Jeans
The button fly. As someone who had many pair of 501 jeans decades ago, these jeans bring back memories. Once you get the technique down, the buttons aren’t that difficult to master. The denim is actually a bit softer than I was expecting. A bit of an old form with a modern soft denim. Fit is very good, no issues. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because, I really prefer heavy tough denim.

Good and bad
Great material, good fit and very comfortable. But despite being correctly labeled, I did not like the hammmer holder on the side and also found the button up fly hard to manage.

Very comfortable jeans
These jeans are nice. They are comfortable, they look great. The button zipper is a royal pain. They are a problem if you need to use the bathroom several times a day. I kept the jeans hoping the denim will loosen up around the button holes after several washes.

Button Fly a No Go
I hadn't seen that these had a button fly. The jean denim was good quality, they were heavily discounted from the original price ($129 marked down to $45). I looked up reviews after the purchase, many negative comments about the button fly. Difficult to open, returned ASAP!

not what I was expecting...
The pants fit good, very comfortable; the pockets are different- I should have looked closer- but I've grown to like them. The first thing I did was to cut off the hammer loop. I worked in construction for over 35 years as a tile setter but now I am retired- 13 years- and don't need a hammer loop. Plus my wife says it looks dorky. My biggest issue is the button fly, especially when I need to go bad. If I had known it had a button fly, I would not have gotten them.

Hate the Button Fly!
I have been a LL Bean customer for many years. Have always been very pleased with their product quality.
However - Let me add to the list of negative reviews for these jeans. Like the most of the other reviewers with negative comments, I do NOT like the button fly. Very tough to use.
Not sure Why LL Bean decided on a button fly design, but it makes these jeans just about useless.
