Quality construction but...
This boot is truly well made. The two main issues I've had is you can only wear them with boot cut jean because the crown going up my leg is so wide. The other problem I had was with the size. Ordered an 11 and the boots I received were way oversized. I've seen other reviews that have mentioned Goethe boot can run big. I think LL Bean is a great company with quality products. This one just needs a little tweaking.

Disappointing first pair of Bean Boots
These were exactly what I was looking for, something to slip on to walk the dog in wet grass and gravel. I got them a little big, but not so big that my feet slide inside. After 6 months the heel has worn away. This is my first pair of LL Bean boots, and all of the reviews from people who have worn their version for YEARS were encouraging. I also bought 2 other classic styles that I have not started wearing yet. Maybe the black soles are softer. Disappointing for the price, and these were the cheap color.
