Best cute boot for rain!
I wanted a comfy boot that I could wear in the rain and a little bit of snow - bonus points if it was somewhat cute. Other popular brands were too tough to break in. These bean boots fit the bill! Comfy out of the box, slim profile that I feel can be styled cute with jeans or leggings, and waterproof! Definitely size down. I usually wear a 6.5 and bought the 6. A little roomy but perfect for some thick socks.

Very weird fit. I ordered a full size smaller, but the heel does not hold my foot. The front of the boot fits, if a little snug. Otherwise they look great. I really wish I could keep them, but there's no way I can walk in them. I hope LLBean fixes the problem because that's one good looking boot!

Little floppy
The top of the boot is too wide and does not hold my feet snugly - shoes flop. I had a shoe repair shop punch 4 holes around the top leather part and ran a navy blue shoe lace around the top. I tighten the top up with the shoe lace. Right size so different size would not have worked.

Floppier than expected
Since the ankle portion of these boots is very loose, your heel comes off the bottom of the shoe with each step. (Wearing them, I felt like a kid walking around in my parents' shoes). At first, I thought sizing might be the issue so I exchanged them for a smaller size... but I had the exact same smaller with the smaller size.
The materials and construction seem good so if you loves flip flops and mules, this boot may be right up your alley. I thought they would be hazardous in wet weather and gardening - where I want good footing - so these got returned.
