Rated 1 out of 5 by Connie from Medium Burlap Dog Bed I have purchased 3 of these beds in large in 2008 and 2009. They were wonderful. But I just purchased a Medium in Burlap for the new puppy. I must say I was very disappointed in the quality of the cover material. It is thin and not very heavy as in the past, and definitely not worth the price.

A $200 dog bed that ripped within HOURS of owning it is not just disappointing—it’s insulting. The quality is absolutely abysmal. The fabric is thin, the stitching is laughably weak, and the construction feels like it was rushed out with zero quality control. This wasn’t heavy chewing or destructive behavior. This was normal use. A dog bed that can’t withstand basic use has failed at its only job. Calling this “durable” or “premium” is wildly misleading. LL Bean should be embarrassed to sell something this poorly made at this price point. This product wouldn’t be acceptable at $40, let alone $200. I bought this expecting the quality LL Bean is supposedly known for, and instead got a cheap, disposable mess. Save yourself the frustration. This bed is a complete rip-off.

Great quality dog bed, love the denim color, this is my 5th LLBean dog bed (I have 3 dogs) so we need lots of good, sturdy beds, easy to wash, my dogs love them. We even have one like a couch and even the largest dog goes in there despite it not being an extra large like his bed. Happy pups.

However, I ended up disappointed for a couple of key reasons: 🔹 Comfort Issue When my dog steps onto or off the bed, the padding is very weak and saggy. It doesn’t offer much support, after my dog gets up off the bed there’s a big same spot where he was laying. It looks like he just laying on the floor, so the bed quickly loses its shape and doesn’t feel comfortable after only a short time of use. 🔹 Material Quality Isn’t As Expected While the cover is sturdy, the overall feel of the bed — especially the filling and support — is underwhelming compared to what I expected from a premium product. Some other reviewers have also noted that the current fabric blends and inserts aren’t as tough or durable as previous iterations of LL Bean beds. 🔹 Not Worth the Price for My Use Case For the price point, I expected something more robust — especially a bed that feels like a supportive resting place when my dog gets on and off it. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t hold up to regular use for my pup.
