Great style; poor fabric
This sweater fits great and is flattering. Unfortunately, the quality of the fibers is very poor. Immediately upon wearing, there was excessive pilling. The first wash water was clogged with loose fibers. Pilling has only gotten worse.

Toasty turtleneck favorite.
This sweater is now my go to favorite winter turtleneck. I can wear mediums but opted for a size small this time and it is generous enough for my 5' 7" height and 120 lb. weight. Not itchy, covers what I want covered, and warm as toast. Others talk of pilling however mine doesn't show any after wearing many times. Easy on in the morning and a fun scarf added if I wish to jazz it up.

Pilling is Awful
I wished I had read all the reviews before I purchased this sweater. Although it is beautiful and very flattering to wear it washes terrible. It pills so badly that it was all over my other clothes and sheds everywhere. I made sure to follow the care instructions but it didn't seem to make any difference. This is not the usual quality of product I get from LL Bean which is surprising. I had hoped after washing multiple times it would get better, but it doesn't and now the sweater looks bad so I don't really want to wear it anymore.

shreds balls like a cheap brand
I bought this for my mom who is always cold for Christmas...it is priced like an LL Bean product, but man...it is more like something you get at a low priced department store...My mom loved it...it looked lovely...it was warm and soft...but after the first wear it started to ball up

Soft and comfortable, but the pilling
This sweater is very warm on a cold day. The ribbed sleeves provide textural interest. However, the amount of pills after one day is too much. That is my sole reason for deducting stars.
