This ultra-warm version of our legendary Maine Guide wool shirt is lined with luxuriously cozy sherpa fleece.
- Sherpa fleece lining is made from recycled polyester.
- Body: 85% wool, 15% nylon.
- Sleeve lining: 100% nylon.

Warm core, cold, loud and damp arms
I purchased this for hunting and hiking from Nov through spring. Wool is good quality as is the sherpa lining for your core.. and good buttons. The arms are horrible and I would never wear this jacket hunting. The plastic feeling arms are really loud. Also for aggressive winter hiking, there is absolutely no wicking layer for the arms. Your arms will get sweaty and than cold even wearing a long sleeve base layer.. there is nowhere for the moisture to escape. If you aren't going to be active and not going to hunt it is decent but absolutely not worth $200. I also have the wool guide pirmaloft parka and absolutely love it. Its an extra $120 and usually never on sale but we'll worth the $320 and should last you a lifetime..

90% happy
I like this shirt jacket, mostly. But when the reviewers say the sleeves are crackly and noisy, they are not wrong. That’s the only thing I dislike. Everything else is great; I bought the green and love the color. Love the sherpa fleece on the inside too.

Very warm. Looks great and great fit. Unfortunately, LL Bean has such inconsistent sizing. I have the Maine guide shirt jacket with PrimaLoft in the exact same size and it is too tight in the shoulders. This one fits much better.

Fun for everyday use
I bought the green plaid , like it because of the Sherpa lining. I would have given it 5 stars except the sleeves are a bit noisy but helps slide over a hoodie nicely! Runs a little big but when I purchased it I had a hoodie on so it was fine and that’s fine for layering. Fits great though for me , I’m 5-8 and 180 pounds. Large fits fine and not tight. Wool seems about right 85 percent /15 nylon which most are!
