Belt loops needed, Built in belt does not work.
Nice Pants with good pockets. I rated with two stars because the built in belt does not hold up the pants very well. They would be better with belt loops.

Love these pants!
Love these pants. I have them in 3 colors. They hold up extremely well, are incredibly light, take up no space in a suitcase, dry quickly, and are very comfortable. However, the cargo pockets don't expand so whatever you have in the pockets will bulge.

Wont carry the weight
One would think with all those pockets one would put objects in those pockets but the small belt would not support the potential weight. The Pathfinder Pants should have loops for at least 1 1/4" belt. Other then that the material used is great.

It's very hard to keep the waist band string tie tight when carrying a wallet, phone, and keys.

So much wrong
I bought two different styles of pants, both XL/30. One style fit perfectly. These, however, cut into my butt crack, were too tight in the waist, and also too tight in the crotch. As many others have stated about various LL Bean products, the quality and consistency is often just not close to what it used to be. Very sad!
