Order up 2 sizes!
The fabric and style are very nice but they are cut way too small. I sent back two pair and put a size 10 in my cart. 5’ 5” and usually take a 6 in LLBean

Runs VERY small
I received a gift card over the holidays and was super excited to use it; L.L. Bean has been a favorite of mine for years and I've often ordered from their website. I'm 5'5, 150 pounds, with a pear-shaped athletic build (Birthing two cubs many years ago gave me curves, baby!). I normally wear a size eight in jeans from another reputable outfitter headquartered in Bellevue, Washington since 1920, so with that, I ordered two pair of these jeans one size up from what I normally wear, selecting size 10. They fit but they were uncomfortably snug throughout the hips and waist, and I wanted to be comfortable wearing them. With that, they've been returned to order a size 12, as opposed to a 10. Different brands, different sizes; it's a shame women's sizing is so random and sporadic, it's almost cruel. Long and short, the jeans looked great and were exactly what I ordered, the sizing however, is well off of the mark, and for that reason, a three-star rating.

Run Small
Run much smaller than the True Shape jeans I usually buy. I'm also not thrilled about the faded appearance of the front thighs. The color of the part of the jeans that is not faded is great. I didn't realize the fading would be so obvious in person. I wish Bean would finally abandon the aged look and just offer dark rinse jeans, like the men's Dark Indigo color. The men's BeanFlex jeans are also more cotton rich and better weight. LLBean does tend to sell it's women customers short in the quality department.

Very small
I normally wear a size 6 petite LLBean pants and I wanted a very loose fit so I ordered a size 10 petite of these jeans. When they arrived they were so small I couldn’t even get them all the way on. Had a moment of panic that Id gained two sizes over the holidays until I put on my other LL Bean pants that are size
6 and they still fit.
