Good but not like the old version.
This was my second pair of the Maine Warden boots. My first generation boots are awesome and still going strong. I bought the new version to keep as a back up. The new boots are not as warm the original ones. I feel the cold coming through minutes after walking in snow, not so with my old boots, and they’re still waterproof. Lacing is difficult too. The new boots require tightening just a couple eyelets at a time. With my old boots, I can snug the entire bottom half with one tug. The laces are also wimpy, worthy of sneakers. I do find the new boots are good looking, and I received many compliments. I’ll do my best to preserve my old ones for hunting and keep the new ones for social events.

liner worn out, and haven't seen 20mi's
So excited to put these to use around house for winter chores and late season hunting, etc. And being LLBean, I had all kinds of loyalty and lofty expectations for them. NOPE!
Worn late season hunting twice in Vt, a couple of Patriots games, and a handful of snowthrowing my driveway in Western MA. They are 2 years old, but barely worn!
They look great, are waterproof, and warm for most if not all of what NE can throw at you (exception ice fishing).
Liner on right side of boot wore thru, fragile cloth! clearly a design in materials flaw.
These are low use, hi fashion products, not out doors boots. Certainly not for $$$

Crushing the Upland Hunting Game
I really like these boots. I'm a pheasant hunter in Colorado and I got these just in time for opening weekend. I put a lot of miles on the right away and I have no pain in my feet. They are still real stiff being brand new but I will wear them in pretty quickly.

A well made product
A well made product. Quality of the leather, soles, laces & stitching are all excellent. Follow the suggested breaking in guidelines. Very warm & waterproof. Two drawbacks - a bit heavier than I would have preferred & sizing tends to run small. You may want to go a half size up. These boots should last for many years!
