Nice but returned for design flaw
I ordered this in the Light Mahogany which was beautiful. I really wanted to keep this as it is GREAT for a variety of reasons , but I ended up returning it. The panel which holds pens/pencils, other items and smaller compartments is not at eye level when you open the backpack. It is stuffed at the bottom making it very difficult to see and arrange items. It is a guess ast to what is down there lol. Back it went. Bring that panel up to the top of the backpack where it is at eye level when you open the zipper and I will keep this!

Strap didn't even last a month
I purchased this backpack 1 month ago and already one of the straps is beginning to fray/tear at the edge where it attaches to the top back of the pack. I know this is a high stress point for backpacks but considering I consciously don't overload the bag and have been using it for less than a month, I would have expected it to be more durable. Very disappointing.

Loved but ripped easily
I have always sworn by LL Bean backpacks and have always had them throughout school with no problems. However after having this bag for not even six months (and putting much less use to it than past bags) the shoulder straps started ripping ☹️. Very disappointing compared to past quality.
