Our most comfortable PFD for the kayaker, this coast guard-approved PFD is designed specifically for the high-back seats found on most recreational kayaks. It will allow the freedom of movement you need to paddle comfortably.
Because most PFDs aren't very comfortable to wear while seated, people tend to use them as seats or strap them onto the deck of their boat. The Comfort Back PFD is so comfortable you'll want to keep it on while sitting in your kayak seat. You'll barely feel the thin foam between your back and the seat. Shell and liner is now made from recycled fabric.
- Flotation provided by lightweight polyethylene foam.
- Shell is made from 600D recycled polyester.
- 200D recycled nylon inner lining.
- Eight adjustment straps provide a customized fit.
- One zippered pocket with mesh keeps small necessities secure.

TERRIBLE DESIGN
I purchased this as a replacement for an old one and only plan on using it to keep with my kayak. The foam in the front is so thick it's virtually impossible to zip it up. I definitely would never keep it if it wasn't essentially just for show on the back of the kayak. I kayak BTW in a small quiet lake and stay close to shore so very little chance I will need this to save me from drowning.

Embarrassing Garbage
L.L. Bean is a brand built on trust. I grew up thinking when you purchase something with this label—you can trust it will be the best (at the very least safe and durable) . It’s why many of us will buy “the nicest thing we own” from this brand. This PFD is absolute garbage, next to impossible to zip, and truly an embarrassment to the brand. It is so inexpensive at the moment because it isn’t a functioning product. SHAME ON YOU L.L. BEAN!! You KNOW this a garbage product and have continued to sell it. Disappointed is an understatement and now will forever filed under the brands we can no longer trust.
