Warm enough for most winter days in the Northeast
It's only 3 stars because it is unusually delicate - I hung up this coat in the gym locker and a thread along one arm got pulled and ripped out. I appreciate the warmth and the light weight, just a bit too delicate!

I’m not pleased with this item. I purchased many things over the years from L.L. Bean. I have never had an issue but this particular down jacket I’m not happy with. I purchased a down jacket a few years ago which I really like, but I accidentally tore a small hole in it. This particular down jacket does not have a zipper front pocket. It also does not slip on easy because of the lining on the inside, if I am wearing a heavy sweater, it’s difficult for me to actually put the jacket on my other down jacket I can slide in to it with no or very little effort.

Zero useful secondary POCKETS.
In an engineering feat that borders insanity, this down SWEATER has ZERO pockets other than the 2 hand pockets. I dont get it.... i am considering returning it because of this, even at better than 50% off.

Lovely blue
Needed to exchange for a larger size but once that arrived, all was good. Fortunately, was able to get it on a very good sale. The temperature has been in the low single digits so it is hard to evaluate how warm the jacket is when realistically, only staying home is sensible.
I think it will be a good jacket once we’re back into normal weather conditions.

Very nice winter coat
Went for a walk with my wife at 5° 10 mile an hour winds. We Stayed warm would definitely recommend to anybody I live in Erie Pennsylvania about I am about 170 pounds 6 foot tall and I got a large - I wanted black but all they had was the marine blue.
