Best jacket I’ve ever owner
I live in an area of the USA where winter can be brutal and this jacket keeps me warm. It’s lightweight, runs true to size and does not feel cumbersome at all. I work outdoors in the winter and needed a coat like this to keep me warm. My only problem with it is I wish I had bought it sooner, would have made winters more bearable!

Sleeves too long, Shirttail Hem unflattering
Was looking for a new winter jacket to replace my existing LL Bean jacket. I tried this jacket in both petite and regular (I am 5'2"). In the regular size, the sleeves were ridiculously long. In petite, the sleeves were still too long, but manageable. However, the front was shorter than I would have liked and the shirttail hem made the jacket unflattering and unattractive. I do not understand why LL Bean makes these jackets with a shirttail hem, rather than just making the jacket longer evenly all the way around (the longer version of this jacket also inexpicably has a shirttail hem).

Warm jacket
Very warm. The only thing about it is that the zipper is not 2 way so I have to hike up the coat when I get in the car. Otherwise it’s a great coat.

Comfortable, warm, and light
This jacket is nearly perfect for my lifestyle -- walking my dog and walking myself in the mid-Atlantic :-) It is warm, comfortable and light. I am 5'5" and 145 and Regular is a perfect fit. My only "complaint": the side pocket zippers can scratch your hands, so I recommend wearing gloves. If it's cold enough to wear the jacket, it's probably cold enough to wear gloves. And I would like felt material at the neck.

While the jacket is warm, it's not warm enough to replace a winter jacket. Great for cold fall or spring season. I was charged $350.00 for the jacket but the price tag said $329.00 - was I overcharged? The hood was great - actually fits a human head. The jacket does shed feathers but not as bad as I expected from other reviews. For the price it should have had a two-way zipper. Size runs normal.
