Difficult to put on
I bought this mattress pad about a month ago, finally got to using it and I just hope I remember never to even accidentally purchase it again. It’s extremely difficult to put on, I just spent about half an hour fighting with it - the band around it should be designed better (put one corner on, other corner pops off, had to squeeze my hand under the mattress all the way around it to get it on) - there is no band or anything designed to hold it to the under part of the mattress, once I got it on - the flat part of the pad seems about one or two inches short - one side is perfect and (of course) the side that needed coverage most, is left lacking coverage - been trying to pull in back place with no success - so if you do buy this cover put it on any side you want fully covered first because it is extremely hard to pull back once you actually succeed in getting it on. It does seem to be snugger than any other mattress pads I’ve had. The mattress is about 12-13 inches high - I’m doubtful about this mattress pads ability to stay on any mattress that’s higher. I need to use the pad and don’t have time to obtain another, so I’m keeping it but definitely recommend spending more on the other mattress pads. We always buy LL bean mattress pads, this is the first one I, as the person who had to put it on, did not like. Would recommend some kind of band around it to make it easier to install and just a little bit more on the flat part of the pad, it’s nice if it is sized perfect but if not a little bigger vs a little shorter especially on the width part. I have the full size.

Great mattress pad!
I bought this a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with everything about it. The bed feels more like a pillow top and the sides of the pad hug the mattress. It seems well made too. With a set of LL Bean sheets it's like a brand new bed!

Disappointed in quality
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. The top part is fine, but the mattress pad will not stay secured on the bed. There is no elastic to secure it, just a very flimsy fragile mesh along the sides. His sheets stay on the bed, but not the pad. He has to readjust it every night before bed. Very disappointing, and not up to LL Bean’s usual high quality.

Fits well, feels soft.
I needed a new mattress topper, and this one has worked out pretty good. It softens my sleeping area considerably, as I have an old 'extra firm' Beauty Rest king mattress. It also makes things nice and warm. It fits well on the bed, and pretty much stays in place, considering how much I toss about on it. It easily ranks 4 stars.
