Great shorts.
These shorts are true to size, a great fit and durable. I’ll probably get another pair in another color.

My fav all around short
This has to be my new favorite short. I am usually a size 18, sometimes 16. I love the fit, the slit on the side, I love the logo in front(although in time it could rub off or fade) the pockets in front are deep enough, the back pocket has a zipper. the waist is comfortable, with a button and zipper, so it could pass as a causal look but so light enough to do my daily 3 miles walk. I haven't gone to the beach with it.. yet! Im gonna have to buy more.

Runs Large
Very nice comfortable, lightweight shorts but I am returning size 14 as I find this short runs large. For size reference I am 5'7' and weight 170 Lbs. Am awaiting size 12 and hoping those fit.

Nice short shorts, got them on a warm day in March
OK first things first I thought these were swim shorts but they don't have any lining around the crotch area so I guess you could swim in them if you want to that's why I bought them. However they also make nice shorts and they'd be good hiking shorts and good all-around shorts really I love the color I got, Deep Tidal Teal, it looks a lot like the water did in Florida a week ago.
But again L.L. Bean should make a distinction here when they put these shorts in with the other swimming apparel they should make a distinction about whether they're really good for swimming or not. Are they against swimming? Do people only paddle fish camp and hike in Maine?

Great for Golfers TOO!
Just found these and bought them for regular workouts at Golds Gym, but they are are also going to work for once a week golf game. Pockets deep enough and colors are great. Very versatile and I'm super pleased, thought they were "pricey". Now that I can use them for golf - they are a deal!!!

Could be a perfect short
Perfect fit in my normal size 4 BUT no mesh lining. So this is a summer short not swimwear. You could wear it pantyless if you have a firm butt otherwise no support. Please put a liner inside this short and I'll buy multiple colors. For the price there should be one already.
