Catches fish!
I love ultralight setups and picked this up on a whim in the 5'6" length. I took out it to a river where I know bigger bass live to test it. It performed amazingly - prespooled mono and all! I had to wrestle some of the bass to the bank through vegetation and it did not falter. This setup will be the one I reach for pretty often from here on out.

Quick to start fishing
So convenient to take out the car and start fishing. Storage case keeps everything in its place. You can get ready to fish in record time and if on a tight schedule easy to put away in its case.

It does not pack into the case as well as other rods I have owned but the case does offer a lot of room. The rod just does not pack well. Regardless, once assembled, solid rod, good reel.

average
rod seems great, lightweight and good action. case quality is average, zippers seem poor. reel is cheap feeling and not the best.

Good travel rod
It puts together easily. Feels very lightweight so think of it as small catch rod. It has statement on it that it has lead in it. Made in China.

My travel rod and reel
I purchase this travel rod to use during my Maine vacation. We normally fly in and have a limited space to bring items such as a fishing rod. This is a light weight rod that I use to catch mackerel to simply relax. It has a good feel while fighting this size fish and was fun to use. I am certain it would handle well catching freshwater fish ( that is what it is intended for). The set is small enough to place into a suitcase and take to my next adventure. When I got home I thoroughly cleaned the rod and reel. Then I sprayed I with some silicone. At the time I didn’t have any issues with corrosion.

Great rod and reel and great value.
My 13-year-old son recently took up fishing. I bought this for myself as an inexpensive kit, so as I had something to do whilst he fished. First outing was on a road trip - so much easier to pack than my son's 2-piece rod, the shortest section of which is 1.65 metres long. Caught an Eastern Australian salmon within 10 minutes of first use; followed by an Australian barracuda a few minutes later (must be the rod and reel - it's certainly not my skill). Highly recommended. Will by the Double LL travel kit also, so as we have one each.
