Faulty Construction
The craftsmanship on this was faulty. The button/snap pulled out of the fabric the first time I put the pants on. It was if the rivet was never compressed.

Durable. Comfortable. Well made. Workhorse.
I think I've been wearing these pants and the shorts version continuously for the last 20 years or so. I keep coming back to them because they are simply the best hiking pants I've ever found.

Best pants I have ever owned due to light weight.
Great fit and flexible material is a game changer for sitting in a car for 2-3 hours. Not sure about new version which is 95% nylon. Bought mine a year ago and material is 73% cotton, 23% polyester and 4% spandex which is spectacular. Plan to try the 95% nylon version in 2026.

Good pants, bad fit due to changed material.
I have two older Cresta Hiking Pants, same size, same product number. However, the pants I recently bought are being returned. They do not fit (too small). When I checked the label, all three have the same product number, but the fabric composition of the new pants was different from the older Cresta Hiking Pants as well as the online specs for the pants. The older pants contain Spandex, these newer ones have Elastane, which apparently doesn't have as much "give."

Versatile Pants
Good lightweight hiking pants. They are comfortable with a good range of motion. The inseam is available in a 29 inch length which is key to saving alteration costs. Good selection of colors, especially darker shades that don't show the dirt. Zippered front pockets secure valuables on the trail or in the city. These are very versatile pants, good for travel, athletic events, social events and challenging outdoor activities.

Very comfortable. They look great. The fit was perfect (I'm 5'-11" and 200 lbs.). Wore them when the temp varied from 35 to 50 degrees F and they breathed welled and were the perfect pant for the hike.

Wonderful pants
I am 6’8” tall and it is not only hard to find the right length, it is difficult to find pants that fit comfortably through the waist. These fit the bill. I have seven pairs and wear a pair almost every day. The older pairs, 6-7 years old, are very durable and are hard to distinguish from the ones I bought last month.
