Not what they used to be!
My son got this backpack last year, and it barely made it through 9th grade. After just one school year, one of the straps is already falling apart. It's a nice backpack but the quality is a disappointment. I had one of these that lasted all the way through high school and college with heavy use. LL Bean just isn't making things the way they used to.

Great Backpack! Colors slightly different than pic
I just recently bought the Vintage Lavender Deluxe Backpack for my daughter. Great bag! Its her 3rd one. Just wanted to not that the picture looks like a vintage/ballerina pink but it is definitely what I would call a darker pastel lavender. The punk bowl is closer to the color it looks on the site but you can definitely see its lavender. Again, great bag and she actually loves this color better :-)
