Product Details
The small but mighty pack - our smallest pack makes an ideal first pack for students just starting out. Same time-tested construction and rugged materials as our L.L.Bean Original Book Pack.
It's no secret that elementary-school students love our Original Book Packs, so we created a smaller version for all the little brothers and sisters out there. It's just as tough as the original, but sized to fit younger kids - because packing treasures around the backyard can sometimes be just as important as carrying books and homework to school.
- Made of weatherproof 100% nylon.
- Spot clean.
- Water bottle pocket.
- Comfortable back panel and shoulder straps built to fit smaller backs and arms.
- Main compartment has ample room for a lunch box, a few toys and an extra set of clothes.
- Front pockets feature a key clip, an organizer panel and a place for small treasures.
- Extra-tough zippers for years of use.
- Reflective trim on front and straps for extra visibility.

Timeless backpack for preK+
These backpacks are nostalgic for me, and I looked forward to buying monogrammed ones for my children. The sizing is sufficient for younger kids (17 L), and I like the thoughtful and useful pockets and reflective trim. The only feature that I think would make it even better would be to have two water bottle pockets instead of the one.

Perfect for a young kid
I ordered the Bookpack Jr II in blue for my four-year-old grandson to use every day. He loves the color and it has his name embroidered on it. I highly recommend getting the name embroidered because his friends may want the same one! It is a good sturdy backpack that fits all his valuable snacks and show-and-tell items.
