This mug is excellent and handsome!
This is an updated review, reflecting that I now know how the lid works! I left a now inaccurate negative review a couple of days ago, before an LL Bean store clerk showed me how it works. Now, instead of returning the mug I am very pleased. It’s the perfect size for a cup of coffee or your beverage of choice. The dark green teal color I chose is handsome but it comes in a variety of colors. I do think it would be helpful for.LL Bean to include a simple instruction card with each mug so that it’s easy to use correctly.

Did not realize that the cup would not fit in auto cupholders. Also the cup is made primarily for drinking with a straw. I am having to modify the mechanism to be able to avoid the straw.

Not good for travel
I ordered the blue mug. The color is pretty. However, the mug itself is not good for my purpose. It does not fit in my car's cup holders. If tilted even a little, it leaks. My coffee stayed warm for about 1 hour. It is good for leisurely reading and sipping. But be careful; as after a sip the residual coffee could drip on you.
