Exactly what I was looking for: a zip front hoodie that was not too heavy. The weight of this is just right for layering. It is a little big on me, but I ordered a large to be sure I could layer easily. A medium probably would have been fine but I’m sticking with the large this time.

Absolutely gorgeous colors! I bought both the Colbalt Sea & Dark Salmon. Fit is exactly what I expected, bought Small, am 5’6, 107 lb. Flattering! Make these pretty colors in other clothing please LL Bean!!

Fabric sheds
I liked the fit. I wanted a 100% cotton sweatshirt. Cotton doesn’t stretch so the fit was as expected. However, the dark blue sweatshirt would not stop shedding. After washing it a few times, it still leaves blue lint all over me when I wear it. I can’t get it to stop shedding

Needs Tweaking
I've been looking for a 100% cotton French Terry hoodie, and thought I'd found it, but no.
Pros: 100% cotton, raglan sleeves, French Terry fabric, metal zipper
Cons: Side panels are not French terry, but are instead ribbed t-shirt fabric, which clings to one's body, creating a tailored (not relaxed) look, showing figure flaws, and allowing cold air in.
When I tried larger sizes in order to overcome the cling, the hip area become enormous.
Ugly dark brass zipper, which looks horrible on light colors and dark colors alike. A nice brushed pewter or silver metal zipper would be much preferable.
Zipper is rough and sticks, does not slide smoothly.
Ribbing on sleeves and at bottom waist is thin, limp fabric, and looks stretched out; has no body or integrity to it, and serves no purpose, as there is no elasticity.
After trying several of the colors, I don't like any of them, as they are either yellowish or earth tones (which some may like). Would love to see some jewel tones and a light heather gray, as these suit my skin tone and coordinate with my wardrobe. Even the royal blue is an "earthy" version, not a clear blue.
Would appreciate more length in the body, as I'm looking for a jacket to cover more of me. The trend towards shorter, tighter-fitting "fashion" hoodies is not what I'm looking for.
I think that LLB could capture the market for cotton French Terry hoodies with a few tweaks. Many of us are looking for a slightly loose & long, medium weight 100% cotton jacket with a nice-looking zipper in beautiful colors.

Pockets Finally Updated
I have owned at least three of these sweatshirts over the years. I love the weight, the hood, the fabric, and with the exception of one iteration of the sweatshirt, the pockets. This latest version has the best pocket design yet! Inside pockets on each side in addition to the side pockets on each side seam. It is so wonderful to have so much room! Plenty for cold hands, cell phone, doggie poop bags, small flashlight, kleenex, etc. Love, love, love this version!!!
