This boot has it all.
I needed a new hiking boot that could do double duty as a stream side fishing boot. This fit the bill perfectly.
Extremely well designed, light, great tread, and top quality materials and construction. Comfortable to hike in, without sweating feet.The waterproofing up to the top of the laces sealed the deal for days I don't want to/need to wear waders.

High Quality and Stylish
These are extremely comfortable and high quality. You can feel the craftsmanship. They also are very stylish and look good with jeans and shorts. Your foot feels very secure in these and they will not be getting wet. This is a reminder that you get what you pay for and I am confident that these boots will last a very long time. I have really wide feet so I am always worried about wether or not shoes will fit me right. The sides of my feet can get really messed up in a narrow shoe. So if you have that problem too the wide version worked great for me.

Good Boots
I've had these since last fall and they meet my three main requirements: comfort, durability, and keeping my feet dry. The Trail Model X does a good job filling the hiking/work boot/mucky conditions category for me. They may be advertised as "budget", but they're definitely not low-quality. For me (and I know footwear is very subjective), the one glitch with these boots is that the sole and the upper seem to be a bit out of balance. The mid-sole and sole are heavy, hard and a bit rigid, but the upper is half mesh. I would have preferred a softer, more nimble ride from these boots. I already have heavy hiking boots (that I hardly wear) and trail runners (that I wear all the time). For me, the weight and stiffness of the sole makes this boot less useful than it would be with a lighter, more flexible sole. For folks carrying a heavy pack who want a bomb-proof sole with a lighter upper, this boot could be just what they're looking for. Overall, I'm very happy with them. Just wish they weren't quite so heavily built.

Great hiking boots!
I’ve been wearing the Trail model X hiking shoes for several years and recently purchased the hiking boots. They’re very comfortable out of the box. I like the additional support the boots provide vs the shoes. Great hiking boots at a reasonable price!
