Great Rain Jacket and Wind Breaker
I’ve worn this a few times since I bought this last month. It’s really light weight.This rain jacket kept me very dry during a cold rain last week and today. This jacket is pretty much a shell. It won’t keep you warm. It wasn’t designed for that. This is a wind breaker and rain proof jacket for the summer and the winter. You just have to wear a sweater or jacket under it for warmth. The zippers work great and the pockets were plenty big enough to accommodate my big iPhone 16 Max. I believe this will last me for years to come….

Handled the rain in Spain and wind in Ireland
My wife and I were price-shocked at other Gore-tex shell jackets on the market and went with this more affordable option. We were very pleased with their performance on our winter hiking holiday in Europe. Granted, the rain in Spain was not a hard-driving kind, but the wind in Ireland about knocked us off our feet. In both scenarios the jackets were up to the task. Mine (men's large; I'm 5'8", 160 lb) fit comfortably over my down mid-layer with no binding anywhere. I was untroubled by the long back end, critiqued on other reviews; to the contrary I found it reassuring with a nice tucked-in feeling. The only down side was with my wife's jacket: the back-of-head drawstring that tightens the hood around one's face came detached in its first washing. She has already initiated a return but promptly ordered another one. All in all we're happy with our choice.
