I have been buying these pants for years and have never had a problem, now the fit and quality of material is not good , I rely on LL Bean to have good quality,, please go back to the ORIGINAL perfect fit denim

Frumpy & Weak Elastic so Waistband Slides Down
I really want to love these but they make me look frumpy. The elastic waist tends to slide down. They have more fabric in the area from top of leg to waistband so that seems to be too much fabric. Weird look at the crotch. I am desperate for nice-fitting, elastic waist slacks. These aren’t it.

I like the old waist better, these are slightly tight. I a have to shorten the reg length 1 1/2” but the petites are slightly shorter. These were straight leg and I usually buy tapered…so maybe that is the difference?
I have many pairs of perfect fit pants.

The worst jeans
This is the worst item that I have ever bought from LL Bean. The fabric is so heavy that, even in New England, I might be able to wear them in the winter but that would be it. The pants are supposedly 96% cotton but they were very, very stretchy. The fabric doesn’t feel like denim at all. The fit is very odd. The front part of the waistband comes to within an inch of my bra; it gives new meaning to high waisted. The black pants are a lint and pet hair magnet. These are going in the donation pile.
LL Bean - Please bring back all cotton jeans!

These old lady Denims have an unflattering waistband. LL Bean needs to make some denims with a wide flat waist band. They used to have them, but they discontinued them. They looked so much better.
