For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Yeppa, Yeppa as close to Scotland as you can get.
L.L. Bean plaids are the best in the U.S. Outside of Scotland, their collection of Scottish wool blends and patterns are ol'e so similar. You don't have to go to Scotland to have the quality. I have 6 shirts from L.L. Bean's collection suitable at the campsite or everyday work and street wear.

I bought this very soft flannel shirt in April and have worn it frequently in the past few weeks. I have three of these Scotch plaid shirts. All are nice but this one is my favorite - very muted shades of green!
