My hammock is almost 40 years old
This hammock has been my sanctuary for almost 40 years. It's been used daily until it snows. I sit in it sideways and watch the stars at night. I have snuggled with my dog and my daughter in it. I have the LL Bean stand of course. It dries so quickly. Spot cleans with soap and a soft brush. I keep expecting to need a replacement, but so far, it still holds me like a dear friend.

Great hammock, beyond durable
We received this beautiful hammock as a wedding gift 27 YEARS ago! It is still in great condition. The gorgeous green color has remained vibrant, the fabric has held up beautifully and the ropes are sturdy beyond belief.
We roll it up and bring it into the garage during rainy or nasty weather. It’s a great addition to your napping options.

Hammock
I don’t know what to do with his hammock. It flips over from side to side on the stand. I don’t dare get on it. The stand is an old one from LL Bean. .

Great quality
Pricey, but nice quality. The pillow is a must accessory for comfort! Catches in the wind when not in use & flips over usually more than once unlike my old rope style hammock. Just waiting for the NH black flies to pass now!

Awesome
Just bought this thing last week after wanting it for a few years now and man, I wish I hadn't waited so long. So nice. Well constructed, comfortable as can be (beats the rope hammocks all to pieces), and looks super, super classy.
Fair warning, though: there is a learning curve to this hammock, especially for those who, like me, grew up with rope hammocks at rental beach houses during week-long vacations each summer. Due to the nature of this hammock's solid-fabric piece, it will dump your butt out in a second if you get off-center. Trying to get two people into and out of this is especially like trying to get in and out of a really tippy canoe as my boy and I found out yesterday evening ("Son," I said as we got up off the ground, he laughing and me annoyed, "once you're up here you can't be moving all around or suddenly sit up and lean over the edge to stare at the ground.") It's not a flaw, just a natural characteristic of design. See, with its ability to sink down and wrap around you, a rope hammock's center of gravity can shift to accommodate a person's position in it. This hammock, thanks to its solid surface design, offers no such forgiveness. Put your full weight down more than slightly off-center, and over you'll go. You'll quickly figure out how to get into/out of this with one/two people, but you're also going to take a few spills before you get it down pat.
Still, this hammock is well worth every penny I paid. Believe me, it's going to get plenty of use from here on out, and I'm probably going to fall out here and there as well, especially if I fall asleep and roll over like I'm still in bed.
