Why change perfect products?!
I suspect know the answer to that question is to try to increase profits but the result is ruined product. I've been wearing these every evening for years ordering one or 2 more each year. Suddenly last year they were not as soft, too long by 2 inches and the elastic at the waist too thick and stiff and bordering on useless. I tried ordering petite in my size but they were too tight so I ordered up a size in petite and the poor elastic doesn't hold them up or stretch. Changes happened with my perfect winter shoe the "Comfort Moc" and with my husband's tee shirts he wears daily. Those now have longer sleeves and elastic that will not hold them at his wrist. Your sterling and long standing reputation will be ruined with these sorts of reduction in quality and usefulness. We are so disappointed.

Comfy pants for wearing at home or out on errands
Love these pants for everyday wear! I had bought a gray pair last year which I've worn so often because of their comfort, so was confident ordering again. I found the pants run long. so ordered a petite this time around which is a better length for me st 5'5".

Inside of pants are different
Inside of pants are made different than in the past. They seem a little bit scratchy but I still really love these sweatpants and I wish they weren't so expensive.
