Found sharp metal
I took the blanket out of the packaging for the first time and found a metal splinter. The blanket itself is very warm, a little scratchy but not too bad. I’m not sure I’d repurchase from the store after finding metal in the blanket, it could’ve been really bad if a child ran their hand over it and cut themselves.

Pendleton blanket from L L Bean!
Beautifully made and Pendleton too. Also warm. Greatly appreciate that the advertised dimensions were 100% accurate. This is the kind of wool blanket that’ll last decades. Herringbone pattern provides great clues to lay it straight and even (for those of us who may have a touch of OCD.)

Beuatiful but expensive
The blanket is beautiful: excellent design and craftsmanship, made in the U.S.A. I’d give it 4 ½ stars, only because it’s so insanely expensive (even with a discount coupon). But you get what you pay for, and L.L. Bean delivers quality. Given the investment, I doubt I’ll ever risk throwing the blanket in the washer and will instead spring for dry cleaning.
