Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Jacket & a great value! This is the second winter season with this jacket. I wear it during my walks. It is very warm and definitely water-proof.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with my choice Needed something with more warmth and move coverage and this was perfect. It's light, warm, covers my butt, and even the sleeve length works for me (I'm short and that's often an issue). I like the materials, but the jury's still out on the zipper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good jacket, not great I've have another version of this jacket that is about 20 years old and would still be wearing only that one except that it needs a new zipper now. This newer version has some things that I like, like the detachable hood and outdoor chest pocket, that the old one didn't. The old one had a second set of outside pockets above the lower ones that this one has, this jacket would be better with those. Also, maybe it will wear in after a while, I have only had it a couple of weeks, but the outside fabric is stiffer than the old one, and kind of crinkly. The newer version has a lower inside pouch on the right side, and an upper one on that side too, with what I assume is a micro-fiber cloth to use for clearing glasses and goggles, those are a nice touch. I don't love the inner cuffs that can move around inside the lower arms, that's a negative new feature to me. Warmth has been quite adequate in the last couple of weeks, ranging from the single digits to mid-30s, with occasional wind chills below 0. If it holds up well past the warranty (a year now?), it will be a decent value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Parka This jacket is as described in being very warm without bulk. It is extremely windproof. I spent several cold, windy days in Yellowstone National Park in February and this jacket was excellent. It is going to replace two older winter jackets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and plenty of pocket storage. Warm and very wind proof. Large inside pockets are great for gloves and hats. I have not experienced the zipper issues others have noted in other reviews.
