Great quality
This is my third Rugged Parka. I still have the other two. It was on sale. I bought 1X so I can layer a sweater under it in the bitter cold otherwise it is warm without a sweater. Washes very well. Lots of pockets for scarf and mittens. I bought my husband two of the mens for winter.

Busted zipper!
I loved this parka until I didn't. I purchased it in 2015, and the plastic cheap zipper bit the dust in 2017. I am a Michigander and am used to cold weather, the coat served its purpose until it didn't. I also disliked the velcro. It served as a magnet gobbling up mitten fuzz and sweater or fleece fiber like crazy. Here's my beef: Why on earth did you decide to use plastic zippers instead of those made with metal/steel? It's as though LL Bean decided to make their lifelong customers have to replace jackets more frequently. That's been the case for me.

Great colors! Wonderful fit! Problematic Hood.
Many years ago, I had a Bean parka with exactly this color scheme. I loved it. I wore it for years. Finally, I wore it out. I was so excited when I saw the color scheme again, I promptly ordered it. As I said in the review title, the parka fits great and the lining is NOT fleece. This is a real plus. However, when it's time to use the hood, the euphoria faded! The hood closure required decoding instructions. I finally figured out that the end of each side of the hood gets tucked into a slit on each side of the parka's neck closure and then snaps in place deep in the slit. This requires a certain amount of dexterity that is beyond my abilities these days. Sadly, I am returning what would have been a great winter parka.
