I can’t live without it
I purchased this coat in black at the L.L. Bean outlet in Freeport Maine, it’s truly the most incredible jacket I’ve ever owned. I used to exclusively wear waist length jackets. However, after purchasing this, it’s hard to go back. In a cold New England winter this jacket fits the bill. It’s very warm, but also lightweight. I’ve worn this during 10 to 20° temperatures walking the dog and it’s kept my body and legs warm. When I drive, I can also keep it on as it has a zipper that goes up and down so it’s not restricting my legs when I sit to drive. It doesn’t make me feel suffocated because it’s not overly puffy and bulky, it’s also flattering to women’s figure. I bought a size small. I am 5 foot five155 pounds, 36C. I probably could’ve gotten a petite, but I wanted it longer on purpose. I can comfortably wear a sweatshirt underneath, but I do wish I went a size up as it does feel a little tight on the shoulders when I have something heavier on underneath. I would recommend trying a true to size, and a size up to see what fits best especially if you’re going to wear layers underneath for an.. this will be my fourth winter with this jacket and it’s still perfect. I wash it in cold water, delicate cycle , very little detergent, hang dry and fluff in dryer with dryer balls for about 6 minutes on low. It doesn’t need to be washed often maybe once or twice a season, easy to wipe off salt or dirt with a rag. It washes beautifully and has held up impeccably.. If I lost every jacket I have, this would be the first one I would re-purchase.
