Not the same
I own the same belt from about 8 years ago, when the finish was more silky/shiny and felt of high quality. The "new" version has a dull finish and just generally feels cheap, looks cheap. The belt buckle used to be a brushed brass look, this one is BIGGER and silver in color. Can't wear it to work. Will wear it casual. I would GLADLY pay more to get the same quality from the old one. And please don't start the email wave again, it is VERY annoying. I do appreciate LLBean as a company and values. You'll always get 2nd chances.
