Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. Great material, tricky fit
The material for this shirt is amazing, very soft and substantial. The colors are also good. My only complaint is the fit is tricky. It's advertised as an oversize shirt for layering, but I find the sizing impractical. I usually wear a large flannels, and sometimes they're still too small. The large size for this shirt is like a smock. It's just too baggy. With low expectations, I tried a medium and it actually fits me quite well. I wish the sleeves maybe an inch longer though. Even still, this is one of the more comfortable fitting flannels I own. I just have to be super careful it doesn't shrink up in the washer/dryer.

My husband's favorite shirt!
I think my husband has worn through 3 previous Chamois shirts and this is the fourth. This shirt is the second one of the same pattern. The colors look really good on him. He wears it on cool days and evenings as an overshirt. LL Bean--please keep this pattern as a permanent option!

GREAT shirt!
This is the most wonderful shirt I’ve seen on my husband lately (wife approved). The colors are gorgeous. The fabric is substantial, but not too hot or heavy for indoor wear. The cut is generous. The length is good.
