Our classic casual coat is easy to move in and layer under. With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

I've wanted a barn jacket for quite a while. I'm happy with the fit & weight of the jacket. However, I wish the buttons weren't plastic, but I can switch them out myself. All other aspects are just as I would expect from LL Bean.
