Our classic casual coat is easy to move in and layer under. With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

Nearly perfect!
I have this barn jacket in multiple colors. True to size ... relaxed fit. The washed orchid is "duller" in person than on the site (which I LOVE!) My only minor issue is that I'd like it if the plaid lining had a hint of pink in it to match the shell, but that's just me. It washes and wears beautifully. How about more colors? Rustic red, deep eggplant, burnt orange, blackberry ... All in all, it's a near perfect jacket!

A beautiful classic for your wardrobe.
I love the oversized fit of this barn jacket and the classic look. Feels great and is perfect for spring and fall and even a cold summer night with a tshirt. My only disappointment was the color. Online it looked more pink, but it is actually a muted mauve. Still great though.

Durable Coat with Limitations
I currently have this coat I bought over 5 years ago. It has a quilted lining in it; thusly, I can wear it all winter---so warm. However, the new one I bought as stated in the writeup has a flannel lining probably to keep the cost down. Flannel does not provide the warmth of a quilted lining so I have to wear more underneath. The coat itself on the outside has fantastic durable fabric to last for years. I wish you would substitute the olive green for a navy color which is more suited for various dressing vs. olive.

Old and new
I bought this to replace a much loved barn coat from L.L.B., that is many years old. This new one is a great fit, love the color, plaid interior and corduroy cuffs and collar, miss the inside pocket I had on the old one which also had a bit more weight to it. All in all very happy with my choice.
