A bit too cropped
The knit of this sweater is beautiful, but it was a bit too cropped for me. It was also thinner than I expected. A beautiful sweater, just not for me.

Excellent cashmere sweater
I agree with the previous review. This is an excellent total 100% cashmere sweater. Not a cashmere blend. 100%. That's where the price point is driven. I wouldn't dream of washing this sweater in a machine. Hand wash delicately and lay flat to keep its shape or dry clean. I wash inside out. No pills. I had to size down. I'm 5:4 1/2 and 135 lbs. Bought the brown version in small and still have room. It's a very dark chocolate brown. I agree with the previous review that this type of pure non fast fashion cashmere sweater would cost more back in the day than it does in this iteration so, I felt okay at this price point because I wanted 100% cashmere.

A Beauty and a Bargain
This cashmere crewneck is a gem. Not only is it luxuriously soft in an outstanding knit, but it also now comes in three classy colors to choose from. Furthermore, I've been on this planet long enough to remember when a simple women's crewneck cashmere sweater cost in the vicinity of $400, well beyond the means of most working women at the time. So, yes, this L.L. Bean fisherman sweater IS both a beauty AND a bargain.
