Finally!
Finally found 7" in seam shorts. Almost impossibleto find them. These are very nice. Just what he wanted.

Quality Issue
I bought these shorts in two colors, navy blue and khaki. Both sizes were size 32 and both were made in India, but the navy blue fit perfectly but the khaki was baggy. I measured both and the khaki pair was about an inch bigger in the legs and waist. It is a shame that quality control is getting worse with L.L.Bean on their men’s and women’s clothing, because the blue pair fit perfectly and the quality seemed very good, but obviously the khaki pair was not.

Warning: 3% Elastane Not 100% Cotton
The WIDTH of each leg is very NARROW compared to other shorts (some from Bean) that I own.
There is no mention of non-cotton material in the description: "Men's Sunwashed Khaki Shorts, 7"", whereas the word "stretch" in the description of other shorts allows me to immediately disqualify them as a potential purchase. Bean sure has jumped the shark with "stretch" to the DETRIMENT of consumers who desire 100% COTTON that gets better with age.
Bottom line: short legs are too narrow and the 3% elastane is a deal breaker for me.
My search for quality 100% cotton shorts, once a MAINSTAY from Bean, continues. Am I being silly thinking such an item will ever AGAIN be offered from Bean?
