Inspired by an original--ours. Our Field Coat was first introduced in 1924 as the Maine Duck Hunting Coat. It was an immediate favorite - loved for its rugged look and quality craftsmanship. Short and wide
This re-done version of a classic field coat is certainly in the latest style: short and wide. I usually wear Petite and maybe I should have gotten Regular to get more length. It's meant to be worn over longer sweaters, etc. and they definitely show at the bottom. But, a very cute lightweight between-season jacket when you don't need to be covered completely for warmth. Nicely made, anyway.

Awesome but…
Why not guaranteed for life? That’s what we all remember. You weren’t pretending to be anything fancy. You were solid and we could trust that if we, the numbskulls broke a zipper or tore a bag, you’d hook us up. Not anymore? Profits are too important? Cool man.

I still like it a lot
I said it before I’ll say it again cause I’m asked to rate it I love this jacket. The color and green corduroy collar is a nice touch. I get a lot of compliments on this when I wear it. It’s pretty much true to size being generous in fit. It’s not a boxy fit at all just roomy.
