My new favorite jacket!
I absolutely love this jacket! It is so comfy yet looks polished. I take a medium or large in llbean. The medium fit perfect! If you are between sizes definitely size down. It seems like it will be pretty warm and I should get a lot of use out of it this fall!

HUGE! Definitely size down!
I recently bought the VentureSoft Quilted hooded pullover, and absolutely love the softness and the fit. I decided to get a few more, and ordered two more hoodies, and also tried the funnel neck version and this zipped version.
I typically wear an XL, or sometimes a Plus 1X if I want something to be a little more roomy. I'm 5'10" and have a northern European build. The initial hoodie I bought fit great in an XL, so when I reordered the different styles, I chose XL as well. This jacket is absolutely ENORMOUS. I'm definitely returning it and wondering if I should actually size down to a Medium, or if a Large will work. I haven't worn a size large anything in years, and medium since I was a teenager, but that's what I'm thinking might be appropriate in this case.
Also for what it's worth, the funnel neck was too tight in the chest in an XL, so that's going back too. I don't understand why there's so much variation in the sizing, especially within the same "VentureSoft" product line. You'd think it would be made all by the same manufacturer, using the same models / dummies / patterns, but that cannot be the case. This has become a recurring problem with LL Bean (and most clothing manufacturers) these days. It's a frustrating waste of time to have to continually buy and return to get a decent fit. I could understand it if I were shopping for bargain basement clothing, but not when I'm paying top dollar for a pullover or jacket.
