have been interested in the commando line of wool sweaters offered for a while, the problem was the fit, the more you size up the longer the sleeves became, the shoulders always seemed snug, this vest is the answer the fit is great, went with XL, although I'm usually a large the XL gives room to wear over a heavy flannel shirt, but still will fit nice under a raincoat or winter layering, for insulation purpose you want this to fit snug, the sweater is well made and a good weight not too light, it imitates military surplus well, all natural materials cotton canvas and wool, this sweater is made to be worn and will get better with age,
