Our founder, L.L., first introduced genuine handsewn mocs 100 years ago in 1926. We've made some improvements, but the custom-made feel is still apparent in each shoe sewn today, offering premium comfort and style from the backyard to the boardwalk and more.

Great Look! Size might be a smidge big.
I loved the look from the start. I've received compliments from anyone taking the time to notice my feet.
I ordered size 7 (yep, I have little feet). The Bean Boots that I have had for decades, a pair of oxfords that I picked up at the store in Freeport years ago, and a pair of slippers ordered by phone (pre on-line ordering days) all size 7, fit perfectly. Another Maine based shoemaker GHB__ whose size 7 W_J_ns have always fit perfectly made it a no-brainer to order size 7 again. As expected, the forefoot was a little snug, that should get worked out (the explanation card is nice, but really, has it come to this?). The overall fit seems just a little loose. The length is fine. It feels as though the fit would be better with socks (not going to do it for summer wear). I hope that the break in period, besides customizing the moccasin front will also tighten the heel just a smidge.

Beautiful shoe
I rarely write reviews, but for this shoe I couldn't resist. The leather is gorgeous, supple, and soft. The shoe is very well made. It looks like it would cost about three times what LLBean is selling it for. It's comfortable and looks and feels wonderful. The size is true. It's a little wide but still very comfortable—one of my best buys in a long time.
