Very nice madras shirt!
Was looking for a high quality madras shirt for my spouse and I found it. He thinks its great too. Quality fabric and a bit but not too tight (initially developed for hot humid climes, madras is meant to have air circulating under and through it). Some really nice colors too.

Madras cotton shirt
I have always liked madras cotton shirts for the summer. They are cool to wear and the vibrant colors are great. 100% madras fan.

Colors fade in couple washes
I have been LL Bean Customer for several years. This is the first negative review I had to write. The shirt looks worse than a cheap quality shirts at a retailed. The color faded in second wash and stiching is not great either

Nice fabric, poor fit
Fabric and colors are good, but the fit and cut are unlike any of the other "slightly fitted" shirts I have tried from LL Bean. The "large" is about an inch and a half wider at the shoulders than the other "large" shirts from LL Bean, and this extra dimension carries down the body of the shirt. So more of a "traditional" fit, except that the shoulders are wide enough that the sleeves don't sit correctly. (And even though the large was clearly too large, the medium was too small, so a decently large gap in the sizes)

Not true to size.
Really beautiful shirts, but not true to size. I bought 3 in XL, which is the size I wear in LL Bean and all other brand shirts. I know this is slightly fitted, but that's usually not a problem (although I prefer the normal cut). These are cut very tight in the shoulders and biceps. I haven't worked out in 20 years, so it's not that they don't fit muscular men. You'd need to be downright narrow-shouldered for these to fit. Rather disappointing. If you are scrawny these may be fine. Too bad LL Bean wasn't more careful about the cut. I can usually get away with a fair bit of variety in sizing, but these are too tight even in XL. I'll be returning them to my local LL Bean store.
