Great Color on Sale
I have three waffle shirts in this style. I like the splitneck, and bought a few plain while tshirts to wear under my splitneck shirts. I also needed the tshirt under this pullover because the split neck goes fairly low (which doesn't bother me a lot and if I still wore the right kind of bras, I would not always bother with a tshirt underneath).
I placed my order on the week-end, and had everything by the following Friday. The paper bag they came in had a large tear in it, but nothing fell out or was damaged. I wore my new pullover on Saturday (after running it in the dryer for a bit), and got two compliments on it, particularly the color, which was a large reason for my purchase (after all, I already had the waffle shirts/pullovers). I was at the Art Museum, waiting in line to get my parking ticket validated, and a woman commented on my pullover. She was taken with the color also. I told her I'd just had it delivered from LL Bean (in case she wanted one and was worried it might be out of stock), and she pointed to her cargo pants which, she said, also came from LL Bean.
Like the waffle shirts, the sleeves were very long and had to be cuffed. Not a biggie, just FYI. I can't function with sleeves overlaying my hands, but cuffing was easily done and didn't come undone.
I don't know how it washes, but have no reason to think there will be a problem. I'll update this if there is, but it handled the dryer just fine.
This is a very comfortable pullover. It will be too much on very warm days, and possibly not enough on very cold days, but the temps were in the 60's yesterday, and I didn't need a jacket when I went out. This may not be everyone's style, but I found it very comfortable, and it will be nice on cool evenings. I'm thinking about whether I need a second one!
