I bought a small since reviews mentioning it runs large, but the fit is just weird. The arm holes are indeed too big, and the dress I received had a defect on the v-neck that was very noticeable. I think if I went smaller I would it would be tight getting it over my head. Returning.

Good for busty gals, white is see through
I have to agree with other reviewers- the sizing is way off for this dress. But I have a large chest, so I figured it was worth a try. I love the light fabric- it'll be great for summer heat and hot flashes. The white is completely see through- you can see the pocket outlines by holding it up. I could see the complete outline of my body through the dress- I'd expect this level of see through from a lesser brand, not LL Bean. I'm planning to wear cotton slip shorts underneath, and possibly sewing in a lining myself because for me, the fit and the fabric make it worth it. For reference, I'm either a M or L in most tops. A size 12, with 36DD, and the M fits really well, the arm holes are still a bit low, but I don't mind. This dress would make a great swim cover up

Lovely fabric, lovely color, questionable fit.
This is one of the only LLBean products not getting a five star rating from me. Love the fabric, perfect for the warm climate where I live. And the color is lovely. But the fit was a little off. Waist was high for a regular, in my opinion, and the armholes were quite large for a size small. I am keeping this since I can "tailor" the armholes, and the high waist isn't that uncomfortable or unslghtly.

I bought this dress in petite XS and I did have to hem the shoulder straps at the hem line (I took out about 1 inch of fabric?) but i'm a petite girl so this isn't the first time I've done that with a dress so that the armpits hit where they should and not drooping way down ... after hemming I LOVE IT!! SO comfortable and can dress up or down!

A promising dress, but needs tweaks
This dress fell short on several levels, imo. One, the material felt cheap and not up to LLBean standards. Two, the tie waist sat high and was not comfortable (I have an average length torso and am 5'6"). Three, there was too much material on top and the V Neck did not lay correctly. There was some gaping at the arm holes, but not terrible (I also have broad shoulders). Very disappointed in the LLBean dress offerings this year and as of late. Please offer some casual dresses with timeless, classic style that don't look like a potato sack.
