Inspired by an original - ours. Our Field Coat was first introduced in 1924 as the Maine Duck Hunting Coat. It was an immediate favorite - loved for its rugged look and quality craftsmanship. Plus, it coordinated perfectly with our Maine Duck Hunting Boots (now known as "Bean Boots"). The legacy continues with this stylish lighter version. What is up with Bean's sizing?
This jacket, just like a shirt I purchased at the same time, has so much extra material that I could use it as maternity wear. I always wear petite medium in Bean, but not anymore I guess. My daughter says it's "vanity sizing" but I think it's bogus sizing. C'mon Bean, do better.

Great fit
I bought the jacket as a reward for the weight I lost. The jacket has a great fit, comfortable through the shoulders. The front pockets are deep enough to hold items securely.
