Could have been so good
I bought this utility belt to wear with my LL Bean utility pants. I have 4 pairs of the pants. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't get the belt to fit through the belt loops! After a lot of wrestling and finagling, I was able to fit the belt through the loops, but it's going to be another episode with I need to wash the current pair of pants. It's also worth mentioning that trying to adjust the tightness of the belt was also a complete hassle and I had to use needle nose pliers to aid in gripping the belt because it was not amenable. I do not recommend this product and it makes me sad bc I'm a die hard LL Bean fan. :-(

Acceptable.
For us mostly bootiless men a good belt is a necessity--especially if you are active, have a bit of a belly. Love tie shorts but with phones, keys, wallets and outdoor stuff those shorts can be at your knees quickly. Had high hopes here and it is perfectly acceptable belt for your casual shorts, jeans, etc. but is not really the "special" design, material quality I expect from LLB. This kind of belt needs to be made with structure and flex--this is pretty stiff. Buckle is a shortcoming--clunky, sometimes hard to fasten and doesn't feel like it will holdup over time. Length is proper to listing and I'm wearing it, but feel it could be much better at this price point.

I saw some other reviews say it was difficult to get into belt loops, but I didn't have any problems fitting it in either direction. Length adjustment was a little stiff, but it holds well. I might never go back to leather belts.
