Not waterproof
Bought at start of winter for not-so-deep snow. They're attractive and well constructed. Worked fine for cold and for dry snow. As soon as the precip turned to mixed snow/rain or heavy rain I was getting wet toes. Not what I expected from a Bean product. Disappointed

Great Shoe
I’ve been a Keen wearer for 20 years. But lately they are not as comfortable as they used to be. I tried on a number of brands at a local outdoor retailer but just couldn’t find any the fit well. So I ordered these and I’m very pleased especially since it comes in a wide.

Great shoes, but.
These are great shoes for the price. Sizing was right on. Break in was easy. The only thing I found sub-par was the insole. It is too firm, thin, and uncomfortable, like what cheap shoes come with. I replaced it with an aftermarket insole (which unfortunately was another $20). Now they are 100%.

Trail Model X Waterproof Leather Hiker-Men's
Purchased this shoe specifically for hiking on a trip to South America. Wore the shoe less than 1 week, got caught in a downpour, and the shoe shrunk so that it was unwearable. Had to purchase new hikers locally while on vacation. Very disappointed.
