Shrunk and wrinkly
I was pleased this top out of the box. Very breezy and comfortable and looked nice. After one wash and dry on cold it shrunk it shrunk substantially, basically a full size down. The fabric also looked very different after washing. It's really lumpy, and the collar and placket are a mess out of the machine - it will require ironing after every wash. I've noticed this on other LL Bean summer shirts too, that what you get out of the box looks very different once it's seen a gentle laundry cycle, and things that are supposed to be casual have to be treated as if they're formalwear to still have flat plackets and a tidy drape.

Shrinks a full size!
I was eager to receive this shirt for a trip I'm taking to a warm climate. I had initially purchased a small, which is my regular size, but it was huge. The XS fit but once washed, was much too small. I'm so disappointed that it shrank a full size after a regular wash and dry!! The fabric is puckered after a wash/dry which is OK if you like the rumpled look. has been a waste of money; however, I've been a satisfied customer for over 50 years. If you like the look of this shirt, your regular size may be way too roomy, but once it's washed it may fit just right after shrinking.

Can’t believe LLBean has this for sale
Very unflattering. Boxy, thick linen. Maybe LLBean was trying to find something to match their linen shorts, but this is one of the most unflattering, unimaginative styles they have.
