Lovely, but weirdly small in waist
I was excited to receive these pants, but they are VERY small in the waist. I couldn't even get them over my waist in my usual size of 16. I won't order up by 2 sizes (which is probably what I would need waist-wise) because I am sure the legs would then be far too long and I am not going to deal with getting them hemmed. Bummed...

I like the trousers, but the waist is a bit snug & the legs were longer than I expected. Good incentive to cut back on desserts & find my sewing basket

Previous reviewer was correct
"Fully-elasticized waist" is a large stretch, pardon the pun. There is elastic in the waist but it does not expand and contract as usual. I sized up to allow for that reviewer's caution but it still is tough to get these pants on. LLBean may advertise tall sizes but that seems to mean only longer legs, not proportionally sized. Even a size larger than usual is too small to sit down in. And linen is bad about shrinking when washed.

Great fit
They are comfortable & fit great but they badly wrinkle. I know this is not uncommon for linen but this was really more wrinkling than I expected.

Run small!
I tried these on in the store, from the sale rack. I can see why they had a lot of them marked down - the sizing was super weird! LL Bean tops tend to run large on me, and their pants are generally true to size for me. I am 5'7", 145lb with a booty. I am typically a size 8, sometimes a 6 depending on the brand. I could barely get the 6R over my hips, and the 8R wasn't much better - you could literally see the dip in my behind where the narrow hips smashed it flat lol. I probably needed a size 12 to even consider these, but they were also about two inches too short for my height, so no reason to try any further sizes.

So comfortable!
I have had both hips replaced. So I ended up with a larger size because of that. Size 10 fits me about perfectly. Very comfortable to wear!

Potential but no go
I wanted a pair of cool linen pants for FL summer, but these were too boxy and wide for my 5'3" frame. Maybe they would soften and become drapey once washed? Returned.
