Nice Boots
I wear size 8 1/2 and ordered size 9. They fit perfectly with a regular weight sock. So I guess you would say the boot runs small. But perfect for me.
Each boot has TWO pull-on tabs -- one at the heel, one at the front.
Sit down, cross your foot up over your other knee, put in your toes, hook your index fingers into the tabs, and pull. The boot goes on!

Couldn’t Put On Or Take Off
I bought these for a trip to Scotland. They are very attractive and so comfortable once you get them on, and therein lies the problem. I couldn’t put them on OR take them off without help. Even with the aid of the little tab on the back - impossible to put on. Unfortunately I had to return to LL Bean.

Need variety of widths and half sizes
I just received my order of Women's Bean Light Wellie Boots.
They looked well made and sturdy, but unfortunately they didn't fit. I needed a half size longer and a wider width - neither of those are an option. I also found it very difficult to step into; I even tried with a shoe horn.
No choice but to return them.
